Description
Any vintage Cuda is already something special, but this 1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR is on an entirely different level. Built as the street version of the All American Racers cars driven by legends Swede Savage and Dan Gurney in the 1970 Trans Am Series, this AAR keeps its original colors inside and out and still carries its original engine with the correct MoPar Six Pack setup. It also comes with its factory build sheet to verify authenticity.
Finished in its original code B51 Blue with the correct matte black hood and side stripes, this Cuda looks sharp from every angle. The body lines are clean with even gaps on the hood, doors, and trunk. The black vinyl top is tight and well fitted. The front grille looks fresh, and the clear fog lights mounted over the air dam add a bold touch. This is a well restored and very striking AAR.
Inside, the black vinyl interior is in excellent condition. The bucket seats and rear bench show minimal wear, and the clean black carpet features blue Cuda logo mats for contrast. The dash and gauge cluster look crisp behind the stock steering wheel. Even the trunk shows the same careful restoration with inner wheelhouses painted to match the exterior.
Under the hood is the original 340 V8 in a clean engine bay, complete with its orange air cleaner and proper markings. The legendary Six Pack setup, with three 2 barrel carbs, delivers strong performance and great drivability. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. It is paired with a TCI A727 3 speed automatic for a solid and reliable drivetrain. The undercarriage is protected with fresh coatings and upgraded with new bushings and shocks. Power steering and four wheel power brakes with front discs make it easy to handle, and it rides on original style 15 inch wheels with BF Goodrich T A radials.
This 1970 Cuda AAR is a rare, documented, and extremely well presented example ready for shows, cruising, or any serious collection.
